Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials

I’m wondering if this is going to be the latest conversation starter. “So, how about that young adult post-apocalyptic trilogy of your choice?” It even works for books and movies, so it’s perfect, right? As I’ve said about the first installment of this series, they’re all starting to blur together somewhat and the problem isn’t likely to get any better, but there have been worse trends, I suppose.

Alex Cross

So, yeah. Saw the movie, liked it okay… but I’m now having trouble writing about it, and that’s usually a bad sign. I’m not an Alex Cross fan, not having read any of the books, which might be part of the problem, but since I’ve heard that actual Alex Cross fans weren’t thrilled with the casting here, maybe that isn’t a problem. Having never seen Tyler Perry before, I had no comparisons to make, unflattering or otherwise.
